About the Blog

The CSA Los Angeles blog is an interactive forum where parents can share recipes and experiences with our CSA produce boxes.  We hope our recipes and tips guide you in making healthy, tasty meals for your family.  We are here to learn from each other, so please share your stories and recipes with us in the comments sections and at csalosangeles@yahoo.com.

We are fortunate to have such fresh, high-quality, organic fruits and vegetables in our CSA boxes.  Simple preparation is all it takes to bring out that natural flavors.  We are on an exciting culinary adventure as we enjoy great food and nourish our families with healthy meals.

We realize that getting a CSA box filled with new kinds of vegetables can be overwhelming.   We hope that our Tips section and Recipe Index help you utilize everything in your box.  Learning to cook with new ingredients and to make new recipes is like learning anything new.  It may take effort at first, and there might be a few stumbles.  However, once you get into it, you will be rewarded with a sense of accomplishment as well as tasty, healthy food for your family.  The family dinner table becomes alive with excitement about enjoying delicious food together.

This blog is an interactive tool for us to learn from each other.   Comment to let us know how the recipes work out for you and what variations you try.   Cooking in a new way is sure to lead to recipes that are “hits” and “misses”– we’d love to hear it all.  Furthermore, kids say the funniest things, so please share your family’s reactions to the food.   And finally, help us build our library of family-friendly recipes and submit your recipes to us.

Bon Appetit!
